The Metz Automobile Company was the reincarnation of the Waltham Manufacturing Company, bought from a bank in 1908 by C. H. Metz. His first product was a kit car composed of 14 component sets each priced at $25.
The Model 22 was so named because the engine produced 22 horsepower. Electric lights, not seen on this car, were optional. The base price in 1914 was $475.
